The plane in El Amarillo, Chile

This plane is a DC-3, it was a war transport of the year 1944, it belonged to the Chilean Air Force FACH. In 1974, it returned from Palena to Puerto Montt, in the middle of the flight it suffered a mechanical failure that forced the pilot to make a forced landing in the austral highway (carretera austral) „achieving the pilot the objective without injuries, that if damaging the apparatus for which it was dismantled after a FACH investigation, leaving only the helmet in place.
Don Carlos Anabalón, a resident of the sector, requested this helmet and the FACH agreed to deliver it to him. The helmet transported it for more than 4 km with two yoke of oxen after making 2 axes of native trees and 4 cart wheels, locating it in the place that is currently.
Later the Anabalon brothers decide to occupy it as a home, using it for several years.

Este avión es un DC-3 fue un transporte de guerra del año 1944 perteneció a la fuerza aérea de chile .El año 1974 regresaba desde Palena a Puerto Montt ,en pleno vuelo sufrió una falla mecánica que obligó al piloto a realizar un aterrizaje forzoso en la carretera austral „logrando el piloto el objetivo sin lesionados , eso si dañando el aparato por lo cual fue desmantelado posterior a una investigación de la FACH ,quedándo en el lugar solo el casco .
Don Carlos Anabalón (En la fotografía) habitante del sector solicitó este casco y la FACH accedió a entregárselo .El casco lo transportó por más de 4 km con dos Yuntas de Bueyes previa confección de 2 ejes de árboles nativos y 4 ruedas de carreta ubicándolo en el lugar que actualmente se encuentra.
