You write well and I've really enjoyed finding you. You can probably tell :)
Yeah. People coming in for the money in any situation will breed disappointment and abandoning the environment because... really... there isn't any way to make "easy" money and (hell) writing surely is near the lowest on the list of actually profitable enterprises!
We write because it fills our souls and (for me) it empties a busy head at times. It's a requirement and not an obligation...
So I hear you :)
If Hive possibly promoted super short posts (like status updates) more in line with the shit platforms like Insta and Fakebook, perhaps more users would jump on board. It's less effort for them perhaps. People have gotten lazy... just sharing other people's content and getting the kick of all the likes.
Sad.
It always seems to work best when there are no expectations.
I, personally, have been really pleasantly surprised here. I've been far more creative and have used my online time here instead of FB etc and it HAS paid off. Perhaps not millions. But (to me) this is a long term commitment. And not just for the bucks. For the intentions behind this...
So hey... crypto will rise and fall but we are still gaining over time. Earning for our attention and efforts regardless. But more... we are CREATING! Instead of regurgitating mindlessly!
The fact that we get rewarded for that is just an additional plus, I reckon. But not the end goal.
Anyway. That's how I see it :)
And I have every faith in the crypto revolution. The dollar also rises and falls. Same same. The more traction crypto gains the less volatile it may be... but I'm not a financial person.
Money has never been the point. For me :)
p.s. Imagine if we could take all those years spent on facebook and trade them in for what we could have gained using Hive. We could prolly retire!
