Thanks for such a detailed reply @tibfox and I think we are well on the way to creating something superior!!!! Will be happy to test out again on the iPad and anything else for that matter. Maybe I could set up a test environment between my iPad and Mac, so that I can look at the network tab, does an API/REST call fail or maybe an error will appear in the console.

I'm a developer myself, so could lend a hand.
