Hey steemian!

We must all get sick of the same backpacker travel questions when we meet new friends, I know I do.

You know the ones -

where are you from?

where have you been?,

where are you going?,

what do you do?,

how long have you been doing it ? etc.

The novelty of answering these questions wears off after maybe a week, but they’re nonetheless insightful and no matter how much we hate them, we find ourselves asking others.

So let me bring the dreaded backpacker questionnaire to steemit forum and introduce myself, shall I ?

Am Ayobami by name but call me Nice2us in this Platform. Am a calm girl at my early 20s. I was born and brought up in Nigeria, Kwara state to be precised. Am currently a student but love my humble role to the society-: the pathfinding. An altruist is truly whom I am.

I learnt that we have an extremely thick layer of socio-cultural conditioning over us.
Agreed. It’s thick and it’s sticky. Even after feeling like am free from mind disturbance, I still find myself 'down' at times, guessing I’m failing.

Sometimes it’s hard to snap out of these funks. But living in beautiful places is helpful when in a funk. The beach is a short motorbike away through the jungle. Pretty good funk breaker!

I have been though alot and I know many here have been. It’s very normal. You’ll get out of that. A lot of the depression that comes from this life also has to do with the entire lack of community. Stuff like this platform and the chat helps me, and just meeting more people that do this too helps.

Personally, it’s important and amazing seeing people around me that are doing this are successful (in life, relationships and work/business).

This makes me feel like I can do it that way too and even more than I expected. I think every society has role models that people strive to be, and they have a function.

I hope I will have role model I could be identified with as time goes on.
To be honest, I don't want to believe now that “ steemit ” scene have a bad rep and a lot of the people I Will meet will determine that.
