More and more apps is the key to success. But not just more apps tailored to the hive community. Apps with ease of use and onboarding.

Splinterlands was successful because they build a solid game over multiple years and improved the user experience. They created a better onboarding experience and when people noticed them the team was ready to onboard them in thousands every day. That is the key.

When i joined steem they almost lost me before day one. I found it in the bull market of 2017 and had to apply for an account. It took a month and i forgot all about it until it crossed my path again later.

Four years later we still haven't fixed those basics.
For all of the brilliant devs that we have here the focus has never been on what users need.

Lots more games and apps for users to enjoy but also proper communities.

what i really want to see is the ability to copy leofinance and create your own drag and drop, monetized community. Then for say 100 - 1000 HBD a user could start a football community where you can post lots of short content and reddit like posts. Pictures, videos, links. Whatever it is.

The site would need to be easily customizable to suit the moderator but with lite accounts, your own community token and ad revenue from the site it would be up to the moderator to build up their community and user base to create a revenue stream.

If every one of these grew to a few thousand users we would see a huge difference in hive. The users wouldn't even need to know about hive or how it works once they can sign into their football community. Make posts and earn community tokens which can be traded on hive engine or for on site products.

Aggroed almost made it happen but he didn't go far enough with tribes. They are still a few levels below what is needed for a regular user to be able to start and run without a degree in coding where as we need ones that a stupid person like me can start and run.

I would buy and start an irish community on hive.

If i could get it big enough then it would provide an income as well as fund the tokenomics and provide a top up to the most popular creators. Even better would be when leo get the app up and running if you could have the same option to pay 1000 HBD and get access to a copy of that.

Basically, I would love to see Kal offer the leo experience as a customizable service and charge a fee to set up and a yearly subscription. I think that there could be a good business model there somewhere if they provided leo as a service for others to create similar communities and they provide the dev work.

Imagine how much traffic 1000 Leo communities would generate for hive.
