Prices just keep going up and up since last winter and with the war between USA and Iran dragging on slowly and stupidly it is the regular people that are going to suffer once again.
Diesel has crept up over €2 a liter again even with the government subsidies.
Electricity is getting yet another price hike. We already have the highest rates in Europe but all of our suppliers are raising rates yet again in October by 4-10%.
The price of oil is crippling since the war started with a 500 Liter fill pushing towards €900.

This is just one more expense that people are struggling to pay. Everything around us is going up except wages and to be fair the wages here are already some of the highest in Europe. The real problem is the cost of living and how little you can get with the wages you are already earning.
Between the government and the EU every single thing in this country costs a fortune because of regulations and greed. It is not sustainable and only a matter of time before we see a massive crash as life keeps piling on to people.
Until then we will see more people homeless, more people sitting through cold winters nights as the cost of heating a house gets too high and less money moving around the economy as people stick with the absolute basics.
Luckily I installed solar panels in the early spring and that has covered all our summer costs with a little credit built up for the winter and i filled our tank in the spring as well since I didn't know what price oil would be coming into the winter or if there would even be a supply to get.
But overall it's getting crazy expensive to heat the houses and other people won't be as well prepared for when the weather does turn on us.
I don't know when this is going to change for the better but ever year gets a little bit harder to survive.
