As someone that stands for partnerships, I am always excited to see students partner with other students in other parts of the world to share ideas and experiences. I for one have had the opportunity to partner with people all over the world most especially when it comes to the entrepreneurial aspect of my life. Education wise, I have had a bit of exposure but not as much as I expected to have by now.
I am the kind of person who is involved in so many things and this is both a blessing and a curse at the same time. Thanks to the exposure I have, I have had the opportunity to spend some time with people out of my country for a while and generally it was a good experience. But when we talk of exchange programs, I honestly have never been on one before. As an educator and a health professional, I believe an exchange program will be a great stepping stone for me in my academic pursuits.
Actually, I have been making some plans to join an exchange program in the United States or in Europe and the goal for this is to gain some exposure and more insights when it comes to my line of work and expertise. And with this, I hope to work in the best institution with the best supervisors and mentors to guide me throughout my time there. I’m equally open to living with a family during this period. With regard to the type of family, I look forward to spending my time with a family that is open minded and full of love. I believe family isn’t always about blood. Sometimes we build bonds with people who later become like family members to us.
Exchange programs to me are a pathway to the world, and a journey of exploration and discovery.
