Yesterday I read this post by @xxxxxxxxxx in the Ask the Hive community, one of my favorite communities on Hive. The post asked why we don't have more short form content.
That got me thinking, exactly why don't we have more short form content? Is it because of the fear of being flagged? The perception that longer content is better, and that the author has put more effort into the post? Regardless of the reasoning, we need a culture shift!
In reality, some of the posts on Instagram or Twitter that have gotten the most engagement are all short form posts.
Does anyone remember the picture of an egg on instagram that went viral? Yes, let me remind you.
This post of an egg received over 50 million likes and over 3 million comments, which broke the record for the amount of likes on a single post.

What I'm trying to say is that a post doesn't need to be long to attract attention, and it certainly doesn't need to be long to be meaningful, interesting or be engaging. So let's shift our culture on Hive as to what constitutes quality content. Let's start embracing more engaging short form content.
