Hello, community! My family is considering a road trip this summer. We live in Wisconsin and are heading south to Florida. The final destination is about an hour up the coast from Miami on the Atlantic side. We're looking to make this a very Griswald-type trip. By that, we're looking to stop at some unique and fun attractions along the way and hopefully not run into too much trouble (and certainly not picking up any family members along the way).
Our initial thought is to stop in Nashville on the way down and Atlanta on the way back. We'd probably spend two to three days in each of those locations. Those seemed logical since they are big cities with a lot going on. We also have two kids, so we figure they would have family-friendly activities. But neither of us has been to either city, so I am open to any suggestions on cool places to visit or attractions worth seeing. Also, if there are spots worth stopping at that are out of the way or not one of those cities, please let me know, as we'd be happy to check the out.
Thanks in advance!
