By one, our night of reverie and sin has just begun
Certain to continue until the waking of the morning sun;
Where Time no longer feasts upon our fragile minds,
Which are no longer constrained by the day’s fleeting binds.
By one, all the night’s whores have established their stand,
Latching on to their prey, each one hand in hand;
Surmounting the stairs to soon devour their newfound mate,
Followed by the curse of the morning’s conscience and self-hate.
By one, I have reflected upon the horrors of my past,
Shameful acts and deeds that all of us have done.
Upon contemplation, we repent and all pray as one
By one, we beg for the healing of God’s forgiveness,
In hopes that He will abate our excessive drunkenness
Out of fear that we shall all soon face his wrath at last!
