Thailand Custom Sound System Car – I.C.E

There’s a huge variety of ways cars can be modified in Thailand. Many of the ones I focus on are more driver and performance orientated, however today it’s something else I found along the beachfront one evening which I wanted to share. This is a local businessman and electronic engineer who puts together the most INSANE sound systems you’ve seen on a car.

At the end of this post there is also a short YouTube clip to go along with the pictures below of this car in Thailand with an incredible amount of I.C.E. (In Car Entertainment) packed into every conceivable nook and cranny around the car, including the boot and exterior. A real party piece, literally a full party sound system on wheels! The owner was happy to give me a full demo when I bumped into him late at night along the beachfront near where I stay. Speakers in the front of the vehicle – on the outside not just the inside!

This car pumps out sound from every corner. There are speakers in every place they can fit. Plus the interior has been completely redone in after market and custom parts. There was leather and alacantara everywhere. The roof headlining was even lined with tiny LED stars which lit up and pulsed. You can make out the very orangey gold type of effect of the lighting in the pictures. Yet all this can be turned off and it is still able to transport you around like a normal car! Oh, expect only 2 of you – this original four door five seat saloon now has no back seats, with HiFi taking up all the room instead. I’m not even sure I can tell what it was originally! I believe it’s a Nissan Almera, a readily available car made in Thailand. (or was one – please correct me if you know better!).

You could get quite some party or dance contest going on around this thing. It really bumped out the sounds.

All the work is done by one man, and turns out he actually does this for a living also. He’s from one of the areas many custom car workshops.

Rear boot and seat space has been sacrificed for more equipment, and all the sections of the interior customized with coverings and clear perspex to show off the bass sub-woofer bins and amplifiers tucked away inside. Apparently it has an extra car battery in there somewhere so you never get stranded when you run out of juice! Probably an upgraded alternator to charge them both also, I will ask if I see this person again.

A better shot from the passenger side. Notice all the materials covering the original interior and custom aftermarket Bride seats. I’m not sure it requires the drivers racing harness, however it all adds to the look and the image so why not…
