Olympique Lyon are keen to reclaim their former star, Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.
"I would like to make an offer for Benzema to conclude his career with Lyon," said the sports director Juninho.
"Benzema has achieved everything. He is one of us, so why don't we make an effort to convince him to come back to us?
"Karim will end his career with Olympique Lyon," Juninho said.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas said in March he had tried to sign Benzema in the summer of 2018 but the deal was not made for financial reasons.
The Real Madrid striker also said in May that he would not return to France for the time being.
Benzema's contract with Real ends in the summer of 2021.He has become the first star of the season, scoring 11 goals and making five for his team-mates in 15 matches in all competitions.
