Why don’t we ever measure the success of an election based on voter turnout? If you asked a candidate whether they would rather win with low turnout or lose with higher turnout and they actually answered honestly it would be remarkable.
What do you think would be the correct?
If you think the way I do then I presume you are ashamed of how low the voter turnouts are across the western world.
This issue is clearly important to the establishment yet is virtually ignored in the media. This is not by accident.
The populace is extremely divided and antagonistic towards one another politically yet we can barely reach 50 percent voter turn out. I think that is a huge red flag and symptomatic of a catastrophic failure of the education system.
In summary, people seem to have trouble getting away from being inundated with divisive political rhetoric, yet an overwhelming apathy is taking hold. Perhaps this is the real threat to the democracy and it’s scary and astonishing to me that it’s discussed so little. Hopefully we can begin to discuss it more and spread the word about this crucial issue that threatens to extinguish the delicate flame of democracy and liberty.
