The world can be made a better place for everyone to dwell in peace and harmony. The world has been sick and consequently making are not living in the world as though it ought to be a home but rather as an anode that transcends to another world.
The earth was made for man to dwell and enjoy the grandeur, living happily with his fellow man, but today, the world has become a place where, where a fellow man hunts the other as though a hunter hunts for animals in the bush. The lives of people are no more sacrosanct, new sicknesses and diseases are emerging every day even when there is yet to be any solution to the previous ones, life is becoming unbearable as poverty and lack has eaten deep into the fabrics of the society. So many families find it so difficult to eat good meals in a day. A lot cannot afford the necessity of life; good education, shelter, health care and the rest.
The world justice system has been corrupted in such a way that justice has been perverted. The rich are now owning the justice system in such a way that getting justice as a common man in the world is becoming impossible.
The world economic system has become exploitative. The rich are becoming richer everyday by exploiting and taking advantage of the poor. Also, the wealthy nations are capitalizing on the weak nations taking advantage of their raw materials and resources for their benefit. Hence, leaving those nations in perpetual poverty and indebtedness.
Wars are ravaging countries and as a result, lives are lost, properties are destroyed and plants and animals are affected. Even children are not spared. Terrorism is becoming the order of the day in some countries. Religious extremism and intolerance have brought conflict and division among the people who were supposed to be united as one.
A lot of things have gone wrong in the world, and everyone who cares for the world needs to do something within his capacity and enclave to ensure that the world is healed of this sickness and madness. One needs not to be a world leader before he can effect change but in one's little capacity, a change can be made and it will affect the entire world.
The way forward
What I can do within my power to bring a change to the world in order to make it a better place is ensuring that I live at peace with one another no matter the cost. I am supposed to see my fellow human being as a brother and friend instead of an enemy and a competitor.
Secondly, I must ensure that I tolerate others who are not worshiping the same God as mine, or those who do not believe in the existence of God. I mustn't force my religious values on anyone.
Moreover, I ensured that I preach peace, unity and oneness as well as tolerance as a key message to any congregation I find myself in. In schools, religious gatherings, or any social gathering.
Throwing dirt and refuse indiscriminately should not be part of my lifestyle. I must ensure that i give part of my wealth to support the needy and the poor.
I must ensure that all my writings and publications are centered on peaceful coexistence and how to prevent wars, how to sustain the environmental ecosystem against damages, and against all forms of injustice and extremism. My writings on both conventional and social media will focus mainly on social issues and solutions to them.
With these, I believe that those that must have come in contact with me, must have learned a lot from my publications.
I believe that within my small world, I can make the world a better place for everyone.
