The Begijnhof is kind of square located in the old city center of Amsterdam and it's surrounded with old houses. In these houses there used to live Catholic women, who were not married or were widows. There are two entrances to the square, which is open between 9am and 5 pm. Nowadays the apartments are solely rented out to women with a lower income.
