PictShare is a multi lingual, open source image hosting service with a simple resizing and upload API that you can host yourself.
Components
I think the following features should be added to Pictshare.
- Drag and Drop files to upload
- Register and Album feature
Proposal
Currently the image files to be uploaded can be uploaded by clicking on the upload file button and selecting the files. But on adding the drag and drop features in addition to this existing feature the users will be able to select multiple files at once by viewing and drag them to Pictshare page to upload.
Also the users should be able to register on PictShare so that they could create an album for their uploaded images. The users can register using an email and choosing a unique password which they can use to log in to the portal. After log in they can create albums and upload images to that album and whenever they want to view the uploaded files they can log in and view the images in the respective albums.

On adding the drag and drop featute it may look similar to this.
And the images can be upload as per the action shown in the gif below.
On adding the registration and album feature the users will be able to navigate the images in different albums as shown below.
Benefits
On adding drag and drop feature it makes easier for the users to select and upload their desired photo file. As they can view on their device which file they are selecting to upload it makes easier for them to select and upload the specific file.
The registration and album feature makes it easier for the users to upload the related files at a place and navigate them easily when in need.
