Swimsuits and bikinis... sigh. I feel you. For me buying one of these devices of h*** became easier as it is now more common to sell top and pants separately. I have next to no bust but a huge backside, also not the easiest figure for buying a bikini... oh and did I mentioned that my high bust and my full bust have the same measurement? Finding a swimsuit for my shape is doable (I always buy real sportswear, not for the beach but for swimming) but not very fashionable. Bikinis sets or simply a bra on the other side... 😱😱😱
So, I am more then looking forward to your sewing and measuring experience with bikini patterns.
Oh, and I googled “french legs” This is a style I am not too fond of. Sadly the cut I love most does not fit on my backside and legs. I like when the legs are very low, a bit like a men style pants, but sigh, not nice on me.
Sewing your own swimwear seams to be really popular right now, a sewist and blogger I love (she makes so cute dresses 😍) also has written about her experience and made several tutorial videos. I will post the link, but I a have not watched them, so no idea if her tutorials are really helpful (but I hope so), but she uses a popular pattern (maybe it inspires you)
