"If somebody offers you an amazing opportunity but you are not sure (if) you can do it, say yes then learn how to do it later." - Richard Branson

March 21, 2023 has been a significant date to me not because this is our monthsary nor our anniversary (How I wish! Hahaha) but because this is the day I posted my first blog in Hive, my self-introduction blog.

I am into writing since I was in fourth grade and I started to love it especially when I won the District Essay Writing contest in celebration of the English Festival. That continued until I reached High School, graduated college, and landed a stable job. I created a Facebook account where I could publish my writings. I haven't thought of earning while doing the thing I love the most.

callmesmile@callmesmile sent a video regarding Hive blogging but I was too busy and lazy at the same time to view and comprehend it. After a couple of weeks, jobeliever@jobeliever sent me a message about the platform and shared her experience with it. I got that gear from her so why not give myself a chance to write something, publish, and share it with a much wider audience?

Writing was my first love (definitely not my ex, hahahaha) and it has saved me from my lowest points in life. It has been my introvert-self-outlet.

When I turned 3 months on the platform, I have written and published a total of just 18 blogs. (I am confident that I could have written more if it were not because of me being lazy and stubborn). Real talk, I really wanted to withdraw my earnings because I want that feeling of fulfillment. I want to brag about this platform to other people with the legit proof that I have. Something that I can testify myself with. Something to prove that writing is not a waste of time.

Maam Smile and Maam Jobelle and even indayclara@indayclara helped me do the transactions when we had orientation last weekend.

On the day of attempting to withdraw my earning, I wasn't able to finish the process because I had to wait for the next 20 hours to pass since I changed my Binance email password. I was a little worried because I had to continue the transaction without them helping me. (first timer be like)

The day after, I tried my luck. I followed the steps blogged by Smile and look!!! Drum roll please...馃槀

I finished the transaction successfully! I was like, oooohhheeemgeeeeee!馃帀 I was so happy. I couldn't contain my happiness. I am still feel kilig!

With the 18 blogs that I have published, I got an earning of Php10, 549.28. No one will give me this amount for free! I just write and I earn! Isn't that inspiring?

When callmesmile@callmesmile asked me about my project for my first Hive blogging earning, I didn't have any idea. I even jokingly told her that I will use the money to purchase a husband. Hahahaha.

Php10, 549.28 is already a big amount. I spent Php2, 000 treating my family to a dinner at BBQhan sa Pantaland. I also treat my colleagues for a lunch at school. The remaining amount will be used to pay my tuition fee as I am about to enroll Thesis 1 Writing.

I am blessed enough to have friends who allowed me to venture into writing and helped me be a part of how Hive blogging becomes a blessing. Saying grateful that I am part of this platform is an understatement.

This is all for today's blog. Be well. Be safe. Until the next writing.
