What do you think about drawing a portrait? It is a very difficult topic for me. Since I didn't graduate from an art academy and am an amateur painter, over time I had to learn how to draw portraits on my own. I must admit that the process wasn't easy at all and that I still have difficulties when it comes to portraits.
However, what gives me the strength to keep going is time. When I compare some portrait I drew two years ago and now, I see a huge difference and that’s what pushes me further. Since I am young, I give myself time to improve and find myself in all kinds of painting. Portraits are certainly one of the most difficult, but for me the most challenging topics.
I present to you a new portrait that I have done with oil paints on canvas and posting an original painting with some changes so you can compare them and give your critiques. :)
