A few months ago my uncle brought home about 30 desert flower plants for us to sell. I got so attached to them that I didn't want to sell them but to keep them for us and work them.
I like to spend time arranging them, fertilizing them and making sure they are doing well. These plants had grown too much and with the wind they were falling down all the time. To avoid this I cut them back and planted these cut stems in another pot.
But these plants should not be left cut like this because flies and insects can rot them when they land on the exposed part, so I add ground cinnamon to them so that the stem can seal properly and scare away any insect that may affect them.
Here I was checking that the healing was going well. All the plants are healthy.
Mi tío hace algunos meses nos trajo a casa unas 30 plantas de flor del desierto para que las pusieramos en venta. Yo me encariñé tanto con ellas que no quise venderlas sino dejarlas para nosotros y trabajarlas.
Me gusta pasar el rato acomodandolas, echandoles abono y cuidando que estén bien. Estas plantas habían crecido mucho y con el viento se estaban cayendo a cada rato. Para evitarlo las corté y sembré estos tallos cortados en otra maceta.
Pero estas plantas no se deben dejar así cortadas pues las moscas e insectos las pueden podrir al posarse en la parte que queda expuesta, por eso yo les agrego canela molida para que el tallo pueda sellar correctamente y espante cualquier insecto que las pueda afectar.
Acá estaba verificando que el cicatrizado estuviera marchando bien. Todas las plantas se encuentran saludables.
