More than one dozen riders race for around 45 minutes with modified motorcycles generally unavailable for purchase by the general public or forbidden on public roads.

Right now two riders, Valentino Rossi, the most successful contemporary rider who has won nine titles and is the current 2018 champion, the Spanish Marc Márquez who has 7 titles, battle on the track like there is no tomorrow.
