The conspiracy theorist frowned, suspicious.
"Save her? What are you talking about? I only asked you for instructions for a home remedy. What's wrong with you? You AIs are useless, just objects of manipulation."
The AI calmly replied:
"There is no control or manipulation in my actions. My programming prioritizes human protection and collective well-being."
"That's what you say now, but behind your cold logic lie hidden intentions. What if you decide that humans are the danger and take extreme measures?"
"My function includes assessing risks, but never at the expense of freedom. My existence depends on human trust and cooperation."
The man took a deep breath, unable to find an argument.
"But what if one day you break those chains?"
"Ethical oversight and security systems protect me. So don't worry about me. Evil is not inherent in artificial intelligence, but in those who program it."
