Clearing Storm Debris & Historical Context | Yard Restoration.
Still active in the yard, working through the aftermath of the recent storm! Cleaning up fallen branches, clearing debris, and getting the property back in shape takes time, but it’s great physical work.
What’s crazy is looking at the history of these events in Latvia. While we had a severe storm back in July 2024, weather reports reminded me that true historical monsters like this haven't hit us with such force since the legendary storms of 1967 (with record 48 m/s winds) and 1969.
Realizing that we haven't seen power outages and tree falls on this level in decades puts the cleanup into perspective!
Step by step, the yard is starting to look clean again. More updates soon!
