Tyrone loved what he did in music. He wasn't exactly a singer, but he was almost like one. He was a singer's advisor, but not for low-level or up-and-coming artists. He'd only advised some of the best singers he knew. Here's how the job works: he's affiliated with a record label. When a successful singer signs with the label, they request an advisor, and the label assigns them one of their advisors, and that's Tyrone. He then works closely with the singer, helping them with everything they need. He's very similar to a manager, but not quite. You could say he's a secretary on steroids.
As an advisor, he helps them with every task they need: managing their social media, any other errand they throw at them, and most importantly, advising them on their music career and giving them constant tips on how to improve their music. He also has to keep the record label updated on how things are going. It's a demanding job that requires him to be available at all times, whenever needed. There are no days off. Despite being tough, it has many benefits, and he knows that better than anyone.
Being the person closest to the singer gives you the opportunity to talk to him, and if you're a fan of his music, it's even better, because the working relationship goes beyond just professional. And of course, having access to the famous singer's network allows you to make influential friends who might invite you to private parties or help you out when you least expect it. As an added bonus, as his advisor, you often appear in photos with the star, giving the world a chance to get to know you.

Tyrone loved this job, and when you're passionate about what you do, the results are even greater. At the record label, they reserved him only for the best singers. When a singer's contract ended and another one arrived, if the new singer was really good, Tyrone would get the job. From the outside, it was anyone's dream job: fame, money, connections, and influence in your industry. There's not much more to ask for in music, except perhaps being the singer yourself, which was the only thing he was missing to reach the top. Although Tyrone didn't really sing very well, which is why he was never interested in singing; he was always more of a behind-the-scenes kind of guy.
After many years of working in this disciplined way and always being available when needed, he managed to buy himself a lot of things. A mansion in Los Angeles, his dream destination. With a pool and a huge property to play golf with friends, although he could hardly use it because he didn't have any days off. He also bought his own private plane and many luxury cars. He also managed to buy many houses to enter the rental business. He was a very good money manager, so his fortune was always growing. In everyone's eyes, Tyrone was a winner, someone who had earned everything thanks to his start and, of course, thanks to music.
But when Tyrone suddenly retired, people realized that he hadn't always been successful. It turns out that to achieve all the efficiency he demonstrated in his work, he sacrificed his personal life. He hadn't had a day off to do what he loved for years. And during that same time, he was away from home, so he couldn't watch his children grow up; needless to say, his wife left him too. He also didn't have any close friends. It was paradoxical because he had many contacts among influential people who could spend a day with him, but they weren't friends. He could be surrounded by women, but none were like his wife. And he could have a lot of money, but of course, it couldn't buy back the time he had invested to get there.

That was the real Tyrone, the one who had everything, yet had nothing. He retired suddenly because he reached a point where he couldn't take it anymore and just needed to get out of there. He quit his advisory role at the record label and asked for a much lower position. He sold everything and bought a small house. But will he be able to recover what he lost? Maybe, but some things are clearly impossible. He's the perfect example of someone who has everything and yet nothing.
