On Wednesday I am usually in the office, but today I have a day off and I took early morning walk. It was foggy and a bit cold. The dog was shivering, but by the end of the walk the fog withdrew and sun warmed us very quickly.
So, let me show you what I saw and this will be my contribution to the Wednesday Walk Challenge, run by @tattoodjay.
The park was empty. Not many would like to be out when it is so gloomy and not many like the fog, I believe. I, on the other hand, wished to experiment as I haven't done any photos in such weather.
Pigeons on the line, not online, 馃榾. They just landed and lined up. We left them and turned towards the fence of the sport playgrounds. And there it was this beautifully arranged with droplets spider's web.
These webs are usually invisible when the sun is shining, but now the fog creates tiny droplets and reveals them. And there are so many of them webs.
Here is another.
And another.
Back to our walk, we were heading to the small wood, looking for birds. It was still foggy.
The woodpecker was drumming almost above my head. Still there are many leaves and the shot was not very clear. Can you spot it?
The trees began to change their outfit with the autumnal colours.
These are the first, followed by the others, gradually changing from green to yellow and red.
There is this rotten tree with strange shape of what was left.
On our way back I looked up at the sun. Still behind the foggy curtain.
But soon the fog disappeared and the sun was shining. The life kept going on - the cat on its way.
The sparrow munching something, appeared to be a leaf.
A crow having breakfast too. Some traces of food on the beak I can see.
And the starling on top of the tree making different sounds.
Oh, I almost forgot the magpie, who hopped on the back of the bench.
Usually I crop the images with birds to give a better idea of the details. This time I did not. Let them be as they are, uncropped and unedited.
And that was my foggy walk from today. Now the sun is shining through and the door to the balcony is opened. I am even tempted to stay on the balcony sunbathing. So, off me go, time for a relaxing afternoon.
Have a great Wednesday!
