Hello there!
Greetings from our small park, where birds are welcoming us with their nice songs.
Every time when the sun is up, the whole world is up and alive.
In this post I will show you some small birds I photographed recntly.
Do not forget to check the contest post Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 5 where the theme for this week is Small BIrd.
Always on the same spot, the chiffchaff happily hops from branch to branch.
Inevitably it turns around and the moment I click, that is what I got - the back of the bird, one wing spread, the other still folded.
A hint of what the next theme of the contest might be 馃槈
Next two shots are from another day.
Another bird that I love is the Blue tit. It is a beauty with its blue cap.
Got this one feeding seeds. These birds can hang upside down while feeding.
A couple of days ago, after one very stressful working day, I was off and in a hurry to catch the bus. Outside the office along the path the pallets were stacked and there the little robin was standing patiently. I took the phone out of my pocket and made the first photo.
Then I started to get closer, not much, becuase I did not want to scare the bird.
And closer.
A little bit more.
Then around, but not so close anymore, because the bird was cautious.
I was so happy to see the robin and believe me or not, I forgot about all problems. It was like seeing an old friend.
These photos are definitely not sharp enough and the phone canera got its limits, but this is to show you that you can make bird photos without having expensive gear and phone cameras are super handy. If I have the camera with me, I could very well miss the moment, until I took it out, focus and... the bird could be gone. With the phone it was faster and silent, no clicking sound from the shutter.
Hope to see your bird photos in the contest Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 5.
Wish you wonderful Feathered Friday!
