Many weeks ago @ablaze started #ttt, also known as #threetunetuesday. Me, on the other hand missed them all. Better late, than never, so here I am with my first post, sharing some favourite tunes.

Are there fans of Nightwish?
The band from Finland is symphonic metal and combines heavy metal with classical opera vocals. That was the beginning of my education in this kind of music, when the vocal was Tarja Turunen with her soprano and that is how I was impressed so much by the performance of Nightwish. Later during their turbulent years, they changed the vocals twice. After Tarja I lost the interest. I liked some of the songs with her successor Anette Olzon but after while I stopped listening to their new albums. Little did I know about even more changes in the band, until recently when I searched which tunes to present and read more about the band.
My son showed me the video clip Nemo and actually he introduced me to their music by sharing his playlist. This was the first song from Nightwish I heard and this is the first tune in my post.
If I only listen to the music without watching the video, my imagination picture some fantasy world. Same is with the other songs I chose today.
Now, here you can listen and imagine or watch the video where you will be transferred on the battle field.
Following the pattern of showing video clips, the third one is also official one. The song is a cover of Gary Moore's song. Still, the originals are the ones I would prefer, but here I was charmed by Nightwish and their performance is just great.
Some interesting fact about the band is that three of them - Tuomas Holopainen, Erno Vuorinen and Tarja Turunen had same music teacher and he is Bulgarian, who lives and works in Finland. His name is Plamen Dimov and he also took part in the Nightwish album Oceanborn playing a violin.
So, this is my first #ttt with Nightwish, a band that has changed a lot, but I will always remember as they were initially formed.
Do you like such music? Which song do you like or dislike?
Thank you for stopping by and taking your time to hear the songs I chose.
The video clips are from the official Nightwish YouTube channel.
