Happy New Year!

2020 is over and the new year begins with warm and sunny weather. The last day of December was equally nice and I was more than happy to spend couple of minutes listening to the tender song of the robin, who also was so lovely to watch, perching on a lower branch of a shrub, giving me the best opportunity for photo session. The bird was calm and seemed to me enjoyed to pose, like a singer on a stage.

For some reason I had an impression that robin is bigger than it actually is - about 12 cm. I first saw it in the summer in tne Sea Garden and later in December in our local park.

We called it redbreast or redthroat, because of it is coloured throat and breasts. They are more orange than red, but that is what it makes the bird easy to recognize it. It differs from its cousins in America and Asia.

And now, let me present the Robin. I hope you will enjoy the photos. I did while I was making them and I am looking forward to seeing again this beautiful bird.
