One of my favourte models to work with is Aida, I've had many posts and shoots with her before and she is always prepared, and professional and happy to give suggestions.
The below images were taken in Sleaford at the fair.
We went on a Monday when the fair was closed and took a risk posing on the rides, but it worked out for the best there being no people.
The shot below was a "Happy Acccident" where the softbox slipped and the sun shone on Aida's face. I tried to replicate this shot again but unfortunately it was a one-off..
When shooting with models, I always like to get a candid shot, something mid conversation, or just a natural moment, ie something not posed, and this was the case below when I managed to get a smile. I will take a natual smile like this over a posed shot any day..
The posed shots. Before attending the shoot, I looked online for some tips for shooting with flash in natural sunlight. One tip was to put a yellow gel over the flash. With Aida's skin tone and the colour of her clothes it did help to give a golden glow..
And finally, speaking of natural fun shots..
As a photographer I try to mix what I do in my shots, I've done still life, some macro work, lightpainting and I enjoy a good model shoot. If you'd like to check out any of my other work I'm on Facebook, or you can find me on Instagram under neilru75
