GnuCash is a mobile finance expense tracker application for Android.
It is a companion application for GnuCash for the desktop and enables flexible tracking of expenses on-the-go which can be exported to QIF or GnuCash XML formats.
Proposal
In this proposal I am suggesting addition of few new ideas to the app. The features which can be added are written below.
- Purposes
- Operations
- Linear Report
- Pie chart Report
- Monthly Report.
Purposes This feature should be added to formulate a report on various purposes that have to be accomplished. The purposes features will be a good addition and will help us to add the value of the purpose planned and also the inclusion of transactions report is possible.
Operations If we have recorded any transfers or expenses or any income report this can be shown by the operation feature which can be a storage of statements which can be financial, managerial or even cost related.
Linear Report The report can be explained as summarized and detailed recordings about the transactions, To keep track of various transactions linear report can be of high use to study all the transactions and keep its record.
Pie Chart Pie chart is an important graphical method of showing the transactions, this includes of circular portions to show transactions.
Monthly Report This feature will give us monthly report of all the financial transactions that have taken place during the month, so that we can estimate our costs and analysis of profit and loss is possible.

The additional features can be added to the app and this can be shown with the help of an image which is shown below.
Benefits
These features will be a great add on to this app, with features like purpose and operations we can choose and add values to our purposes which can be saved and shared anytime as excel document or word document. Reports are important for understanding the financial position and for studying the transactions that have taken place so that the interpretation of data and further communication of it is possible, different ways of presenting reports helps us to find exact profits with no inflation. Further, doing is monthly makes it proper for us to calculate all the gains of the month easily with monthly Report.
