I've started accounts up from zero and it's taken me two days to get to 10k DEC. I figure a new player can get to 1k DEC/day pretty quickly.

The key with being able to buy packs with DEC is that it is direct and simple. The great thing about Splinterlands is that it is first and foremost a game. Yes, it runs on blockchain, and assets are digitally owned and all of that, but it's a fun game. It should be simple and easy to get a completely new person up and running and improving decks.

Process A:

  • Play game
  • Earn DEC from wins
  • Spend DEC from wins on packs for more cards
  • Level up

Process B:

  • Play game
  • Earn DEC from wins
  • Transfer DEC from game to steem-engine wallet (what's that?)
  • Sell DEC at bid for STEEMP
  • Send STEEMP to STEEM wallet (yet another site) for 1% fee
  • Go back to splinterlands.io and buy packs for STEEM
  • Level up

Process C:

  • Play game
  • Earn DEC from wins
  • Transfer DEC from game to steem-engine wallet (what's that?)
  • Sell DEC at bid for STEEMP
  • Buy BETA at ask for STEEMP
  • Send BETA to steemmonsters@steemmonsters (who?)
  • Go back to splinterlands.io and open packs
  • Level up
  • Realize those packs you bought don't count towards maverick status or make you eligible for any future drops based on packs bought.

Which of those processes is easiest for someone new to understand and execute? I'm gonna go with A.
