Took myself out for some self-care today at the salon.
But plot twist: I came with my own products 😂
I bought the "Motions No-Lye Relaxer Creme" kit to use at home later, but decided to test it at the salon first. The kit has everything: relaxer creme, neutralizing shampoo, silkening masque, pre-treatment conditioner, gloves, spatula, and cape. I even brought my wide-tooth comb + tail comb.
The stylist washed my hair, applied the pre-treatment, then the relaxer. Rinse, neutralize, masque... and that warm water scalp massage at the basin? Pure therapy.
Why I did this:I wanted to see how my scalp reacts before trying it solo at home. Good news - no burning, hair feels soft and straight. Now I’m more confident to DIY next time.
