A person does not burn out overnight - it is a long process that gets worse day after day. If stress in small amounts can to some extent motivate, forcing a person to act and strive for their goals, then a constant state of stress leads only to physical and emotional exhaustion, and it is very difficult to get out of it.

What to do to avoid burnout and deal with problems in time?

Set goals

Loss of motivation is one of the first warning signs that burnout is imminent. In order to stay motivated, it is important to set clear goals for yourself that you want to strive for. Therefore, take paper and a pencil and write down what are the goals, what you want to achieve, not only at work, but in your personal life.

Let's take Hive for example. I came here not only to express my thoughts, but I came with lofty goals. The goal is to make passive income of 1k dollars, and pour out my soul in these posts.

Fight fatigue

The threat of an impending burnout can be signaled by a feeling of exhaustion and constant fatigue. Of course, the situation should be paid close attention to at work, but your lifestyle should be reviewed outside the office. Think about whether your diet is varied, whether you move a lot, or only along the route house-car-work-car-shop-car-home, do you get enough sleep?

As a person, I am very purposeful and with great ambitions I know and understand well what fatigue is. Sometimes you have to poison yourself for at least one more action. Here's a little tip, once you're tired and don't want to do anything, put on your headphones and go for a run. Physical activity will relieve your fatigue and your brain will add a lot of endorphins to you.

Work on yourself

If you feel that you are incapable of being concentrated all the time or you have begun to constantly postpone important things for later, then it is worthwhile to specifically distribute the responsibilities that need to be completed, set clear deadlines and analyze your habits of doing work.

For this I use organizers. There are applications in phones in which you write down tasks for the day and complete them. Believe me, when you cross out all the tasks for the day, you will have a smile on your face.

Stress

Stress is burnout's best friend. He slowly but surely pushes you off the path. There is stress at work, there is stress in relationships, but when it’s a combo of stress, then you’re lost. It is very important that your soul mate always supports you.

I already wrote that sports help to cope with fatigue, so it is the same with stress. Hiking together or some common victories will help with stress at work. Setting common goals is also very important to help avoid stress.
