Hi @ablaze. Back in the days when Blue Monday came out, I was more into the music of The Police, Yes, Deft Leppard and even The Clash, I wasn't that much of a Synth-pop lover. However, after listening to this track I did some research and discovered that many synth pop bands also fall into the new wave category, I discovered Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Yazoo, A Flock of Seagull and Talk Talk among others.
This version of Blue Monday is very rare, but very good.

I had heard the song Magic Fly in the mentioned Jackie Chan movie, but in a cloned version, years later I found out that the original belonged to this group called Space, one of the innovators among what was called Space-Disco, and given their cinematographic influence with science fiction movies, they dressed as astronauts, robots, and in their presentations there was fantastic scenery and Laser illumination.
