Why do Pinoy immigrants yearn to visit the Philippines? Try to think about it, the plane fare is costly, so instead of spending it on fare, why not give the budget to the family here? Well, this is mere evidence of love. The time spent with the family together is extraordinary and no matter how pricey this would be, it is heartily reached just to be with the beloved family members.
In this blog, I'm going to share the top priority of our family, the bond, the travel, and the fun of being together again.
My mother-in-law and my sister-in-law have just arrived from the USA. In moments like these, we usually do outdoor activities like beaching in creating wonderful memories. Different preparations are done. Relatives and friends are invited to be together and be able to bond.
We left home earlier. We traveled 1 hour and 45 minutes in reaching our itinerary, at Paypay, Daanbantayan, Cebu. Before we went there, we bought fish, squid, shrimp, crabs, and fruits at the market to be cooked at the beach resort for our lunch.
I volunteered to cook everything that we will be eating. I did the frying, the grilling, and the preparation of the dishes to be served for lunch. My heart leaped for joy if I can extend my service and this will make my day fulfilling. I can help in a little way.
Our family is fond of preparing lavish lunches to be shared by everybody. The food made the gathering more exciting and satisfying. When everything was ready to serve, it was displayed well on the table. And of course gathering like this, to make it more enticing lechon baboy or the roasted pig should not be missed, this was their most craved.
Why opted to spend quality time at the beach? Well, it is more fun if it will be held in a place where there is tranquility and serenity. It is perfect for relaxation and the merriment of the children here is incomparable. Eating here together is more enjoyable as the sea breeze is truly soothing and cool to one's mind.
Since the resort is owned by my husband's aunt, the entire beach here is uninterrupted. The fun is unlimited. We can do what we like to do. After eating our sumptuous lunch, I was able to relax and feel the moment of reconnecting with nature.
As I walked barefoot on the fine white sand, it brought me to a meditative state. The grains of the sand that gradually pricked my feet are good for my health. It helped me release the pain I felt in my ankles and the joints on my feet.
The kids were having fun too. They were able to bond with one another. While we are still in a vacation mood, we cherish this once-in-a-year opportunity to be able to bond as a complete family. This is priceless and helps the children to value the importance of a happy family.
Since we traveled afar and I was a lil bit exhausted from cooking, I was taking a break in the afternoon. I enjoyed gazing at the marvelous calm sea. The splashing of the sea waves that slowly touched the shoreline delighted my emotion and was refreshed. I was rejuvenated and was already at peace.
Meanwhile, some of our family members were having good times by chit-chatting under the shade of the trees while others were drinking beers and having fun.
Dusk was about to take over and it was time for us to go home however our fun doesn't stop there. On our way home, we had agreed to stop at Kapenarra located at Bogo, City Cebu to have a coffee break. Happily, we continued our bond here, having more fun by appreciating the wonders that this beautiful spot offered to us. Everything here is incredible and our closeness becomes stronger.

Family's love is immeasurable and nothing compares to its true love. The bond that we have this weekend was truly amazing. We traveled far just to have fun.
This memory will be stored in our hearts and our minds that will last for a lifetime. The importance of having a good family and spending quality time with one another is so special. And this is my family's top preference. Although we have imperfections, still our love overflows, and continued to value each other's worth.
