Taking it for granted
Have you ever realized that you have been taking something or someone for granted and, if so, why you did it, how did you come to understand that you were doing it, and what did you do to rectify it?
We often take things and people for granted, we think that we will have a lifetime to do what we want or that people will last forever.
Friendship
Friendships may or may not last a lifetime, but we must take care of them and value them, I have friends who I thought would always be present, but it was not so, we do not even write to each other to know how we are or how we feel, we lost contact and although the memories remain, we will no longer do the same as always.
Now I try to take good care of my friends, those who are near or far away, but we are really connected and feel affection for each other, my best friend I almost never see her and we do not live far away, but because of work or the day it is impossible to see each other; however, I try to write her, I know I took for granted my friendship with her and many times I did not value what is really important (to have her present) however, now I realize that things can change.
Writing my book
It is one of my dreams since I was a child and I always knew I was going to write it; however, time passed and I haven't written it, although I assured myself that before I was 30 I would write it and it wasn't like that. Taking things for granted often takes us away from what deserves priority in our lives.
We cannot think that people are guaranteed for us, that we can always count on our friends, or think that our family will always accept us as we are, or that if they feel love for us, they have the right to accept inappropriate things from us.
Time passes quickly, people come and go, let's learn to value every second of this journey called life.
