True camphor is everything you say. But 99.99% of what is sold now is synthetic copy in a type of salt. I'm planning to GROW camphor but it is said by the healers that it takes 50 years before the oil in the wood reaches the concentration for true healing. I'm going to give it a shot anyway, and distil from the leaves.
