Sometimes what the Holy Spirit demands of us could be a bit difficult to execute considering your state and perhaps where you find yourself. For fear of persecution many have turned a deaf ear to the directions of the Holy Spirit and a blind eye to the guidance and directions, doing what everyone does just so they would fit in. Meanwhile we are not meant to fit in. The Word of God makes us understand that we are not of this world, thus so long as we have decided to take up the cross and follow in the steps of Christ thus calling ourselves Christians these persecutions are bound to come about. It is high time Christians realized that the road may not always be smooth because of power that is ruling the word however; it does not also mean we not meant to be happy and to have all the great things that comes with life.

On the contrary, we are supposed to be the greatest we can be whiles remaining distinguished and different from the general population because we serve a higher purpose, a higher authority of whom the meagre power of this world cannot compare. In our scripture, today, we learn that whiles one gains freedom from illness and plague some still remain jealous or selfish to their emancipation. Knowing how difficult it is to be sick, the pain that comes with it, I don’t see how anyone will see it ok to not heal the sick whether it be Sabbath or not but we see the opposite here. The moral of the story to us as Christians basically is that the opposition will always be there whether we are doing the greatest good of all time or helping someone out of misery. So gird you loins and keep your eyes fixated on the price; The Kingdom of Heaven.

Be bold, be courageous, the psalmist admonishes us not to fear because he that is in us is greater than the one outside. Do not be afraid to do the will of the Spirit for fear of persecution because so long as you continue to remain a true and fervent Christian. It will not end. Have a blessed Day.
