So in my previous post i talked about my favorite books and i looked at Rick Riordan's collection on mythology which started with Percy Jackson, apparently he created this character for his son during his bed time stories when he was diagnosed with ADHD and Dyslexia. This was to help him have something to related with regards to his studies and empower the child.
It is a beautiful thing how life can turn our difficulties and worries into the most beautiful things, Percy made Rick a number one best selling author and he ended up leaving his teaching to become and full time writer. Now i may have mentioned that i have a thing for myths and fantasy and magic and so i am sure you may not necessarily be surprised by my pick for my favorite movie, but it is truly worth it and i am sure some of us may agree to this.
Harry Potter
This is a movie i grew up to love, the Harry Potter franchise was and is still a huge success, it is a movie that stands the test of time much like how Lord of the Rings work, i believe this movie is one that can be watched in a decade from now and still be enjoyed to the fullest by the young generation. The video quality is great, the story line is perfect and it relates to all aundiences, both youth and aged alike.
What makes Harry Potter stand out for me is the fact that although it is a sequel that plays through till the major plot line, each part can stand on its own and one would understand things perfectly. Also, the lessons that the story tells at each point in time is very vivid and conspicous. One thing you may notice though is the fact friendship and family ties are portrayed a lot and we made to understand that these are some of the most important things that can keep one going in life.
Then there's also love which overcomes a whole lot, anyway so Harry Potter is basically about this young boy who's parents were magic prodigies, they were powerful and had lots of influence in the wizarding world, they also used every ounce of their love and power to protect their child when they were attacked by an rogue wizard who was practicing unsanctioned magic that got him killing and stuff.
Throughout the 8 movies we grow with Harry as he finds friends, discover magic and overcome evil at every point, we also discover his amazing abilities which include the ability to speak to snakes and his great focus and his being extremely good with magic spells. Talk of magic spells, Harry Potter is one movie that can get you trying out spells for fun, i do remember saying Wingadium Laviosa to my chair to see if it will float, or abracadabra to the wall gecko so it dies away.
So yeah, i vote Harry Potter, it is a must watch if you haven't and certainly do give me a feedback, if i am to select one out of the 8 that i enjoyed the most, then i may perhaps go with the finale, although Professor Dumbledore died and left Harry with the most difficult and challenging tasks which included he having to inevitably die to get things done, it was one of the most adrenaline rush of all the movies and you would definitely enjoy this after watching all of them.
Conclusion
So that's my submission for this week's activity, but i would love to hear from those who may have already watched this though, or if you plan to, anyway it was a pleasure to have this opportunity to share with you and i look forward to reading all about what you have to share also.
I do wish us all a blissful week, and i am eager to see the activities lined up for us all in the days ahead. Cheers to fun and happy days on the blockchain.
