I do hope that these few tipes and lessons we have been learning and sharing amongst ourselves is yielding results and that the bunch of us are benefiting from it. If you haven't been following it is not too late, just check previous posts and catchup.
In our last discussion, we were introduced to the 3speak desktop version and we went through a simple way to create one's account on the 3speak platform and sync your hive account to it with. Today we are going to go through the simple process of uploading a video. I hope you are ready? Alright, let's do this;
Uploading Video Content on 3speak
So am i am sure we can all the guess the first thing we ought to do. We would have to go to the 3speak site and login even before we can think of doing anything else on the platform including our video upload and so let's do so accordingly. If you are unsure how to do so, please visit Welcome to 3Speak
- Once we have successfully logged in, we would now choose or select the Upload Video tab below our username where our profile picture shows. I have highlighted this in the image below.
- This takes us to the dashboard where we see our analysis and news as well as other options such as statistics, upload, videos etc. Once again since our focus today is on uploading our video on the platform we are going to click on upload once again as highlighted below.
- Now we have our upload interface. You can now drag and drop your video to the area with the instructions, Drop a file or click to start the upload or simply click on those words to open up the window to select your video for upload.
- After selecting your video, wait patiently whiles it uploads, you can check the percentage of upload as the blue indicator fills up the space. Once it is done, you will get a green filled space now and a pop up telling you that the upload is done.
- Now this section is very important as leaving them would not enable you upload your video. Again, you have to check these well so you post to where you intend do. NB: The default community for your video is set at threespeak unless otherwise changed.
- Fill the title for your video and add the necessary description afterwards. Next you are going to have to add the necessary tags that describe your video, set the language, note, the default is set at english, select the community in which you intend to post, you can set beneficiaries where it applies and finally upload a thumbnail for the video.
Now that you are done, before clicking on save, you can either publish it right away or schedule a time for 3speak to make your video available in your account publicly and on the blockchain. These options are available just above the save button
Please note that after saving, video may encode before it may be available to your account however this process normally take between some few seconds to some few minutes and so you do not have much to worry about
