Matthew 14:30; But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid and beginning to sink he cried out saying, ”Lord, save me!”.
This incident happen when Peter decided to take a walk on the water to go see Christ as he appeared to the disciples on the sea. Now when Jesus asked Peter to come he was completely focused on the journey ahead of him, completing the current task he has to undertake and this kept him going and yes he was able to walk on the water then and almost made it to the Jesus until he lost focus and started noticing the wind and wakes and bigness of the sea, he became afraid and everything fell apart.
Concentration is very important skill to develop and master, it is requirement to succeed in lots of fields and aspects of our life, academics, relationships, spiritual life, Christian life etc and without it hardly would we reach our goals or achieve our target. Life is also full of distractions and the devil is a big fan of that, doing everything in his possible best to keep us from reaching our desired results, which is why we need Christ in our lives to help us maintain our focus and avoid the distractions of the devil and also to save us when we begin to sink. It is my prayer that today you will able to maintain your focus and avoid all distraction the devil throws at you that you may be able to achieve your goals in life.
