And welcome to my blog, i hope you are doing well and staying safe. So Recently there has been lots of matters rising across the globe in addition to the pressing issue of the corona virus pandemic and it makes me wonder, could things get any worse?
Over here in Ghana one great a another matter that is becoming an issue for the government to tackle is the issue of stigmatization of recovered corona patients. As if thing could not get any worse after recovering from a deadly virus right?
People are shunning those who have recovered from these virus with fear or excuse that they may still be carrying the virus and do not want to put themselves in harms way. Well while this is very good excuse to stay away as even the protocols talk about social distancing i do not believe it means we should be extremely negative and to prevent these people from enjoying the life as it is.
Perhaps you are still skeptical and afraid, you stay away, however it turn out people go to the extreme of violating the rights of these people, preventing them from going places where everyone else can go, not selling food items to them, some even go the extent of raining insults on individuals when they see them outside meanwhile these people are certified of having recovered through rigorous testing and treatments.
I do not know what is happening out there in the other worlds, well except for the recent event concerning the death of George Floyd which is certainly uncalled for, and i do vehemenly condemn that action that lead to his death however i would like to knowif your country is facing similar issues with COVID19 recovered patients. Do tell.
