2Corinthians 9:6-12; This is say to you, that he who sow sparingly shall reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall reap bountifully, every man according to his purpose in his heart, thus he should give not with grudge or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound for you that you may have sufficiency in all things and abound to every good work.
It has been said that there more blessing in giving than receiving, and while many have this knowledge and are fully aware of the stand of the scripture on giving as Christians, not the lot actually take into consideration or heed to it. Then there are those that uses these verses to take advantage of others forcing them to give when is not from their heart, because they are Christians and if they do not give as stipulated them they probably won't be blessed by the Lord. For such individuals who fall prey to the whims and caprices of some pastors probably they do not know God for themselves or do not understand the scriptures as they ought. Irrespective, it is pertinent that if giving is not from the heart, then one is probably wasting their time.
I read something on our telegram page this morning by Sir Rodriguez and in the post it mentioned how he has seen some rich people let their friends starve to death and how the poor actually giving the very last bit or penny that they had on them to survive to others that they may live to see another day. And this got to me greatly and reminded about the act of giving.
Whiles we learn the stand of God on giving and strives to abide by the scripture we should not forget the most important part of giving which has to do with, been amenable for God loves a cheerful giver. And then we should not go about showing the world how much we are helping others so others may see our good deeds, for blessings come from the Lord and not man. On this note i would to say a big thank to some great givers in our community who have sacrificed to see the church reach where we are today. To @sirknight,
@darlenys01,
@uyobong,
@ricci01,
@maxdevalue and all parishioners who post daily to edify us, God Bless You for you giving. Have a wonderful day.
