And this is the sea of last year. Also drawn in the spring)). That was the first time I tried to draw on oil paper. What is remarkable, the first layer of paint very quickly fits in, as on a poorly primed canvas. It is good that the paint consumption is small, otherwise it would be impossible to use such paper. I really like the ease and mobility of drawing in oil on paper, but I have not yet adjusted to this material.
And it seems to me that it is much easier to arrange the work in a frame than canvases on a stretcher. And send it to another city. But there are restrictions on the size, as I saw the maximum A3 format. I still like to work on the A4 format, so it suits me.
I would also replace the solvent. The smell is something. That's probably why I've become so infrequent in oil painting. I can imagine this acrid smell all over the room... Moreover, it is written on the package - odorless. I saw one artist's organic solvent with lemon flavor. But it costs 10 times more than mine)))) Still, I really want to try it.
