Another work from the episode of my life, "where it all started". I believed that in order to learn how to draw a portrait, you need to train on large formats. Moreover, oil is a new tool for me. Double load. At the same time, I try to understand oil painting, and the harmony of building a portrait.

And to be honest, I naively believe that in the near future I will be able to sell this work. Now I am very happy that she stayed with me. I was wondering how the oil would behave over time. And this work is written without solvent. And I think (no, still almost sure) that with a solvent it is much easier to control the oil. But at that time, this option was impossible for me. I used to draw at night when my baby was asleep. And the only place to draw is in our bedroom.

I haven't drawn on such huge formats in a long time. And part of me is curious about what I can do today on such a large canvas. But as I imagine how much time is needed for such a format, inspiration disappears into space without a trace.
