Here is my second work with a very expressive eye. It is made on a large canvas and in oil.
For a while, this painting stood in the hallway. It catches the eye. Especially after watching a scary movie in the night. So there is generally an unforgettable experience when going to the kitchen is guaranteed. After a few scares from my family members, we decided to hang the painting somewhere else. So she's still facing the wall)).
Such paintings require a certain atmosphere. When I drew it, I did not expect that there would be such a reaction to it. This is the largest portrait I've ever drawn.
Now I have no desire to take on large canvases. The most important thing is why I don't take it, I burn out. I do not believe that my fuse will last until the end of the work. To write in oil, and even such a large format, it takes several days. I did this work for three days, then a few months later I redrawn the eye and eyebrows. And at that time, I had a taste for single-layer painting. Now, my taste has changed and I like the layering. The longest time is waiting for the previous layer to dry. Watercolour, small format - today my ideal set.
In the film, I was struck by what a magical world the artists were able to create. The inhabitants of the planet were very organic and plausible. There was a feeling that I myself tried these fruits and touched living creatures.
