Everyone knows Beethovan's struggles and he was undoubtedly, a musical genius, a genius who wrote my never to be surpassed favourite piece of music. But even a genius is not guaranteed success if they have nothing that a 'non-genius' can relate to. That commonality is authenticness.

Your American everyman is authentic, and you're drawn to this.

And Hive? Success is nothing to do with reward. It's about engagement and I'm 100% sure that engagement is driven by authenticness. If there is writing talent as well, then success is compounded.
