I think the only answer is large stakeholders. Where GTGs argument fell flat was he failed to include the issue of proxy votes. Id hazard a guess that many are from non-active members. In my opinion, proxy votes should need to be renewed every 12 months. Lets not forget the lack of downvote ability on Witness and DHF funding votes which is another way 'leaders' have rigged the system in their favour.
Its all very well him saying that anyone can create anything here but without funding and/or technical nous, thats simply untrue.
More positively, its good to see that there are people slipping into the void left by some of the older, influential leaders who having almost completely destroyed Hive through their control and insistance that their way,is best, have seemingly quietened down and hopefully slunk away.
Keep at it Blanchy lad, and hopefully Sportsblock will continue to grow rather than people flicking through Imdb and netflix to find naff old films to 'review'.
