Back in 2016 when my Dad, mom, brother and I went on a family holiday back to South Africa to visit family and attend my oldest uncles wedding. We had a amazing time and saw and did a lot of things we have never done before the trip. One of them was walk through a monkey sanctuary.
This is a small family of monkeys that followed us for a majority of the time while we were there. If I remember correctly the male standing behind the female and it鈥檚 baby was the main leader of all the monkeys in the sanctuary at the time. He was getting a bit old and at the time was getting close to being over dominated by a younger monkey.
This little guy followed us all the way through the tour and is the most cheekiest monkey in the sanctuary. He was rescued from a bunch of criminals that were teaching him to pick pocket people. He was still learning to not steal as he would take anything that was there for the taking 馃槀.
Capuchin monkeys are pack animals usually comprised of about 10 to 20 monkeys of both sexes and the dominant male is the leader. To attract a female, the males urinate on their hands and rub it all over there bodies in hope to find a mating partner. These cute little guys usually live up to 50 years in captivity.
I hope everyone enjoys this post and keep an eye out for a new one soon 馃檪.
