It's all in how you raise/feed em. I had some from someone a few towns over that just fed chicken feed and had her birds in dirt runs. No access to forage or meat (bugs, leftovers, etc), and her eggs were like store eggs. Pale and flavorless.

Given the right situations, any chicken will lay a badass egg.
